Groups & celebrations

A house big enough for everyone

Most of the groups who stay with us are celebrating something: a milestone birthday, an anniversary, a family coming together from three cities, or a few friends who haven't all been in one place for years.

With 8 bedrooms for up to 23 guests, everyone sleeps under one roof. The pool, the lawns and the house are shared only with your own group.

What works well here

Birthdays, anniversaries, reunions

Guests have marked children's birthdays with a cake and decorations that the staff put together, and a family of fifteen flew in from the UK for a milestone birthday. The usual shape of an evening is dinner on the lawn, a barbecue, then the bonfire.

The two lawns add up to more than 4,000 sq ft of open space. Music is fine until 10 PM; after that we ask for quiet, for the neighbours and the hillside.

Food

Feeding a large group

The house chefs cook for the whole party. Full-board packages cover every meal, with a live barbecue and hi-tea, so nobody has to plan dinner for twenty. For a special meal or a cake, tell us when you book.

Good to know

Before you plan an event

If you are thinking about a wedding or any function with outside guests, call us before you book so we can talk through numbers, timings and what the house can manage.

  • Day visitors beyond your booked group need our permission in advance — tell us how many and when
  • Bonfires and barbecues are arranged at extra cost
  • Parking for up to 10 cars; rooms for up to two drivers can be arranged
  • Photo and film shoots are possible by arrangement, priced separately

Tell us the date, the occasion and how many of you there will be.
